Christmas morning is the best! You’ve got the excitement of presents under the tree, cozy pajama lounging, and delicious smells wafting from the kitchen. And while you may have a feast lined up for Christmas dinner, Christmas breakfast is equally special, if not more so. Especially when little hands are helping out in the kitchen.

Many of the Christmas breakfast recipes listed below are perfect for feeding a large group of family and friends, but they can also be enjoyed for smaller gatherings – with the bonus of delicious leftovers! My ultimate breakfast casserole is a must-make recipe (according to readers), and I’ve got some sweet treats that won’t weigh you down. Plus, if you want to save time on cooking, many of these recipes can be prepped in advance. That’s how you win on Christmas morning.

So pour yourself a warm hot chocolate, eggnog, or matcha latte (it’s green and festive!) and get ready for a deliciously cozy breakfast!

Eggs for breakfast are a staple. And eggs with lots of veggies are my favorite, especially to balance out all of the sweetness during the holidays. So here are a few savory, warming, and oh-so-delicious ways to serve them this winter.

Build-Your-Own Breakfast BUFFET

One of my favorite ways to serve breakfast to the family is by creating a simple breakfast bar. Grab a few large casserole dishes or serving platters to add scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, skillet potatoes, pancakes, or anything else you’d love to enjoy on a breakfast plate!

Greek scrambled eggs on a white plate
  • Oatmeal: Make a big pot of steaming hot oatmeal and let everyone add their favorite toppings or mix-ins.
  • Bacon in the Oven: This is the best way to batch-cook bacon for a crowd! Feel free to toss two sheet pans in the oven at the same time.
  • Skillet Breakfast Potatoes: A side of home-fried potatoes never fail on a breakfast plate. But if you have leftover sweet potatoes, these sweet potato hash browns are runner-up.
  • Greek Scrambled Eggs: Sure, you can serve regular scrambled eggs. But, it’s Christmas, and the tomatoes, spinach, green onions, and feta cheese make it extra special with pops of red and green.
  • Paleo Pancakes: Pancakes always deserve a special place on a breakfast plate. You can make a batch the night before and warm them up in the microwave or toaster the next day.

I hope you and your loved ones enjoy these delicious Christmas breakfast ideas! If you make anything from this list, I’d love to hear how it turned out in the comment box below. Happy holidays!
